Chaplaincy Certificate Program at ICCA
Where do Chaplains Serve?
Military
Chaplains serve in all branches of the military as well as Veterans Affairs. They provide pastoral care and religious support to current and prior service military personnel.
Schools
Chaplains provide service to students in Elementary School through University, as well as their families, teachers, and faculty. Chaplains work with staff and students on spiritual and emotional issues to encourage holistic well-being.
Hospitals
Hospitals and Hospice services rely on qualified Chaplains who will comfort patients and help families through times of difficulty. Chaplains provide ministerial care to patients and their loved ones.
Community
Community Service Chaplains may serve wherever people gather, from sports teams to disaster relief. Community Service Chaplains are trained to respond to a multitude of circumstances and people of all backgrounds.
Why Chaplaincy?
Answer A Call To Ministry
Matthew 28:19 calls us to serve all nations and foster their spiritual and emotional well-being. Provide others an outlet for issues of faith, from end-of-life questions to offering encouragement and hope.
Serve Outside Church Walls
Share Christ’s message outside of the Church setting. Cross over boundaries to reach people from diverse backgrounds, sharing the gospel with them in their walk through life.
